The members of EVO are responsible for 1.3 million jobs and more than 70 percent of all goods movements altogether in the Netherlands, including imports and exports by road, rail water and air.


  Logistics Management Association (Vereniging Logistiek Management - vLm)
A professional association for managers and logistics specialists. vLm is a professional association for logistics managers and specialists with nearly 1900 members. Its objective is to promote the professional development of (upcoming) logisticians by providing a network and exchanging knowledge and experience. vLm provides the platform to build a logistics network. Industry professionals exchange their experiences with colleagues during VLM meetings, seminars and excursions providing a floor of logistics knowledge. vLm is an official partner of APICS USA. In addition, vLm is member of the European umbrella organization ELA (European Logistics Association).


Transport and Logistics Netherlands (TLN)
The largest and leading association in goods transport and logistics services. TLN is responsible for its 6000 members (ranging from small to large transportation logistics service providers) interests. TLN provides an extensive individual service and care of the collective interest, both nationally and internationally. The TLN headquarters is located in Zoetermeer, there are 5 regional offices across the country.


  Holland International Distribution Council (NDL/HIDC)
A private, non-profit organization providing matchmaking services for logistics partnerships in Europe. NDL/HIDC represents the logistics sector in the Netherlands, helps international companies make a smooth entry into the European market through the region's leading gateway, the Netherlands. They have an extensive member base and in-depth knowledge of European logistics. NDL/HIDC works closely together with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency.


  Foundation for Netherlands Logistics (Stichting Nederland in Logistiek)
In the Foundation for
Netherlands Logistics numerous organizations are working together with the government and the industry to enhance the dynamism, value and innovative power of logistics within the Netherlands. They also publish case studies relevant for the logistics industry on a regular basis.


  Connekt
An independent network of companies and authorities that connects parties in order to work, in confidence, on the sustainable improvement of mobility in the Netherlands. Connecting members and sharing knowledge, skills and initiatives are the top priority at the Connekt network. The aim is to use pre-competitive collaborations to develop markets for companies and to implement policies for authorities effectively. Connekt pays continual attention to current mobility related issues and particularly focuses on ITS, logistics and public transport.As a network organisation, Connekt organises a range of activities in order to facilitate knowledge exchange and cooperation between members throughout the year.


  Sustainable Logistics (Duurzame Logistiek)
Together with the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, the Dutch industry is taking on the challenge of making its transport and logistics even more efficient and sustainable in the Sustainable Logistics innovation programme. The ambition: a sustainable improvement in the competitive position of Dutch industry by minimising transport (fewer kilos and cubic metres ), more logistical efficiency (fewer kilometres) and less use of fossil fuels (fewer litres). To put it briefly, Dutch goods transport will become compact, smart and economical.


  Agrologistics (Agrologistiek)
Improves logistics for the agricultural industry. In the Netherlands agricultural entrepreneurs, logistics companies and knowledge providers, such as universities and research institutes, have joined forces to tackle the problem of increasing travelling time of agricultural products and food in a government-supported initiative known as ‘Platform Agrologistics’. The Platform challenges the different players in the field – including farmers, the food processing industry, retailers and logistics suppliers – to come up with innovative
solutions to improve logistics efficiency.


Commissie Van Laarhoven
The Van Laarhoven Commission has as its objective to promote the business within the logistics through innovation. The focus is therefore on the economic significance of (innovation in) the logistics, employment and added value. The Commission has a broad definition of logistics used: the set of all activities necessary for the physical goods effectively and efficiently as possible, both within a company and among companies, both 'at home' and outsourced (to specialist companies , in the Netherlands and to/from abroad. The concept of 'activities' refers to the physical implementation and related activities (Value Added Logistics and Services), the direction of the supply chain and the development and delivery of services and products for performance and direction (such as transport, consultancy and IT systems). Furthermore, the term "physical goods" not only refers to transport but also to storage and processing necessary to succeed in the supply chain (such as order picking, overpacks gasket, assembly and handling of return flows).
